Dear 3rd Grade Families,

Unicef Kid Power Program

On Tues. May 29, all students will be able to bring home and keep their fitness trackers and continue using them at home all summer!  A charging cord and information on how to download an app so that your child can sync his/her band and continue earning food packets for kids around the world will be sent home as well.

Summer Learning Activities

If you are looking for ideas on ways to help your child keep learning over the summer and be ready for 4th grade, these are my suggestions:

-Read for fun!   Take your child to the St. Cloud Public Library or to the PAKRAT bus when it stops in your neighborhood to check out books.

-Math Workbooks- over the summer your child can complete any unfinished pages in their workbooks.  These will be sent home soon.

-Multiplication & Division Flashcards- if you are able, purchasing flashcards and having your child practice his/her facts would be a great idea.  Flashcards can be purchased at area dollar stores.

-Xtra Math & Madison Symbaloo-earlier this year, I sent home a code that students could use to set up a free account on Xtra Math.  This site works on helping students become quicker at solving basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts.  Websites on Madison’s symbaloo are also great online choices.

-Cursive Writing Books-these will be sent home soon

-Math Fluency Packet-we started these packets during the school year.  Any unfinished pages can be completed at home.

Write to Self-students can continue writing in their writing notebooks at home during the summer.

Thanks for all that you do to support your child at school!
