With a lot of practice, great effort fundraising, and a dance that a judge described as "Classy, Smooth, Sophisticated, and Elegant", Ayan Omar and Jesus Sandoval finished second in the overall dance competition at the CMCF Dancing With Our Stars event last night at the College of St. Benedict - and raised over $55,000 for the LEAF activities participation fund! These funds will be used to support students, especially female students, who wish to participate in the afterschool activities program but face economic challenges doing so. The fund pays for physicals, equipment and transportation needs for students to break down barriers to participation.

Ayan and Jesus have been working since late January and deserve sincere THANKS from all of us! They not only represented LEAF, but also District 742 in their roles as district administrators - and they did a marvelous job!
