St. Cloud Area School District prioritizes the safety of all staff, students and visitors. As you enter our schools, you will visibly see our systems at work. Everyone enters our school through controlled entrances and is greeted by a staff member. All staff wear badges for identification. An electronic visitor check-in system ensures safety by screening visitors and recording entrance on school sites. In addition, surveillance cameras are installed at all schools. Through partnerships with law enforcement, we have seven resource officers serving in our schools to create relationships with students and staff and support a safe school environment. Our staff will train on emergency response regularly, in partnership with law enforcement, and we will discuss safety-related items in developmentally appropriate ways with our students.
