Westwood Students' Art Selected for MN Youth Art Month Show

The Art Educators of Minnesota (AEM) Youth Art Month Virtual Student Exhibition will be open for viewing March 1 - March 30 at The students and their artwork will be celebrated and recognized for their achievements. The public is invited to view winning flag designs from around the state and a collection of student artwork.

The flag competition is a long-standing tradition of the Art Educators of Minnesota in collaboration with the Council for Art Education and the National Art Education Association to recognize and promote the achievements of students through their outstanding work in Visual Arts in Minnesota.

Each year, art educators from around the state send entries of flag designs to the Art Educators of Minnesota Executive Board. The elementary winning flag will be recognized at the National Art Education Association conference. The middle level and high school flags will be used to promote Youth Art Month. All winners will receive a $50 Blick Art gift card and the 1st place winners will receive an actual flag displaying their art. Each year, AEM members from around the state are able to submit four to six student works of art. Congratulations to the following Westwood students selected:
