Talahi Moves to Distance Learning Until Nov 16

St. Cloud Area School District prioritizes the health and safety of all our learning communities and has implemented and refined rigorous health protocols that help limit the transmission of COVID-19 inside of our schools. Although our focus is on seeing all students back in school, every day and in person, positive community case rates continue to rise.

Currently, 15 % of Talahi Community School’s licensed staff, along with additional non-licensed staff and students, are in quarantine due to COVID positive status, symptoms, or exposure. As a result, the district is unable to adequately staff for in-person learning at the school. Based on MDE and MDH officials’ guidance and these operational challenges, Talahi will transition to distance learning for 13 days beginning Tuesday, November 3 to support further contact tracing, cleaning, and risk analysis. Talahi students will return to their regular hybrid schedule on Monday, November 16. Clearview and Lincoln Elementary Schools are also in distance learning due to operational challenges.

Grab and Go meals on distance learning days can be picked up at any elementary school from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. or at scheduled neighborhood delivery stops. If you are an essential worker and need childcare during these distance learning days, you may sign up at Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota: https://www.bgcmn.org/kidstop/

We continue to monitor daily conditions in our schools and across the district as community transmission rates rise.
