Students from McKinley-ALC toured Pattison Farm in St. Cloud. They learned about entrepreneurship, green gardening and a historical perspective of the century-old farm from the owner Dave Morreim. The students were able to choose appropriate flowers to plant in the McKinley-ALC Community Peace Garden. They worked together as a team to plan and plant flowers in the garden utilizing information provided by Morreim regarding plant characteristics and design considerations. The students and staff participating were: Zak A-Farah, Jade Chandler, Nick Graveen, Hunter Hipp, Zak Hussein, Logan LaRoche, Isaiah Loehrer, Justin Madland, Megan Maske, Freedom Olson, Meredith Overman, Tyler Plogger, Isaac Schlenker, Angel Spano-Shepard, Araya Treetop, Erica Heath, Danielle Lahr, Dave Masters and Cyndi Simson.
