Tech Robotics Competes at Nationals
April 27, 2018
The Tech High School Robotics Team just returned from Council Bluffs, Iowa in April after they participated in three days of competition at Nationals. During the tournament, over 200 teams competed from 46 States. Three of the six Robotics Teams qualified for Nationals by winning the championship during a regular season tournament. All three teams finished in the top 60. This was a great way to close the season.
Over 30 Tech students have been designing and building robots, coding, competing, developing engineering notebooks and presenting to judges since September. All teams participated in seven tournaments this past season. Most of the students joined the club with no experience or knowledge on the topic. The next opportunity to join will be September 2018. The Team welcomes any Tech ninth- through twelfth-graders who are interested in problem-solving, teamwork and hands-on projects.
