Superintendent Willie Jett is pleased to announce the following administrative appointments for the 2018-19 school year.
Nicole Hansen has been appointed as principal of Talahi Community School, and Richard Chakolis has been appointed as assistant principal at Talahi. Hansen has been a long-term leader at Talahi and is passionate about continuing the promising academic progress that has been underway at Talahi for the past several years. Chakolis eagerly joined the Talahi team this fall and is excited to continue his work on behalf of students, families and staff.
Superintendent Jett is also happy to announce that Alicia Fischer, current assistant principal at Tech High School, has been appointed to the principal position at McKinley Alternative Learning Center, commencing July 1, 2018. Before joining the administrative team at Tech four years ago, Fischer served for 12 years as a teacher at the Osseo Area Learning Center and 2 years as an instructional coach at Osseo Senior High. Fischer is passionate about supporting the work being done at McKinley to create strong academic programs for all students in a culture of collaboration and support for students, staff and families.
