LEAF Announces Fall Grant Awards

The District 742 Local Education & Activities Foundation (LEAF) announced the awarding of $21,500 during its fall Activities granting cycle, $2,060 in fall Academic contingency grants, $4,500 in fall Activities Participation Grants, $18,500 in Adopt-a-Classroom grants, $6,557 in fall Homeless Student Services Grants, and an additional grant of $10,417 in support of the District 742 Elementary Talent Development Program through the Learning Renaissance Fund-a-Need Auction. This makes a total of $56,977 fall grants.
Each year, LEAF awards supplemental funding to academic, activities, arts and athletic programming. Teachers, coaches and advisers submit grant applications for special projects twice during the academic year. Academic Grants are awarded each March. Grants awarded this fall included funds for diverse projects. Read the full press release.
