Congratulations to Sue Linn-Hasbrouck and the rest of the Language Immersion Celebration planning team for coordinating the first of its kind event. In honor of the program's 10-year anniversary at District 742, the Language Immersion Celebration was well attended and brought together both Chinese and Spanish Immersion families, teachers and staff as well as community members and partners.
Those in attendance participated in face painting, crafts, games and a photo booth that transported people to the Great Wall of China or Chichen Itza (using a green screen). The event's mainstage hosted salsa and kung fu lessons, student performances and music featuring Chinese Folk Music and The Pachanga Quintet. View the Highlight Video below.
