The week of February 25th through March 1st, many McKinley students participated in an artist residency. Desdamona Ross, writer and spoken word and hip-hop artist from the Twin Cities, worked with students on writing poetry during the week. Students were able to create two of their own pieces, focusing on identity and social issues, working with Desdamona’s guidance and feedback.
