Design Process

Thanks to the strong support of our community, the Building Brighter Futures referendum was approved by voters on April 8, 2025. This two-question referendum funded important updates to improve school safety, prepare students for future-ready learning and careers, and create a new multipurpose athletic facility.
Design work for building improvements is underway. In May, Apollo staff met to share input and ideas for the school updates and a cross-district stakeholder group reviewed plans for the multipurpose athletic facility. They’ll meet again this September as plans continue to take shape. Construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2026 and will continue through summer 2028. During the school year, work will be carefully phased to avoid disrupting learning. A full construction timeline for each area will be finalized by October 2025.
Work on the multipurpose athletic facility is moving ahead quickly. Design began right after the election and will continue through September. The project will go out for bids in January 2026, with construction starting in May and expected to wrap up in spring 2027.
Look for public presentations at our upcoming Board meetings when we will share images of the new facilities for the first time. We’re excited to take these next steps, together. Thank you for being part of this journey to build a brighter future for all Apollo students!
