CARISSA HOPKINS-HOEL
At the April 16, 2025 Board of Education meeting, canvassing of the return of votes for the district’s April 8 special election was unanimously approved.
6,465 total voted in the election. 4,017 voted YES for approval of school building bonds on Question 1 to improve school safety, prepare students for future-ready learning and the community’s workforce, and 2,446 voted NO. On Question 2 to create a multipurpose indoor athletic facility, 3,503 voted YES and 2,945 voted NO. Both questions, having received at least a majority of such votes, were declared passed.
Planning for both projects will begin in the coming months with input from students, staff, families and community partners.
