The Welcome Center assists new students enrolling to the district and can provide resources, services and referrals to help prepare them for school. Right next door to Discovery Community School and one mile south of the District Administration Office, Quarryview is on the Metro bus line, increasing accessibility for our families. In addition, with the Welcome Center located in the same building as Early Childhood, co-located services for Preschool and Kindergarten will be easily available.

The Transitional Services program is also housed at Quarryview to create a more convenient and welcoming experience for families.

St. Cloud Area School District 742 is an open enrollment school district and welcomes all resident and non-resident students to its schools. Whether a family is enrolling a soon-to-be kindergartner in the all-day, everyday Kindergarten program or is new to the area and has children entering grades 1-12, the Welcome Center can help. The Welcome Center provides assistance in enrolling new students and can provide assistance, services and referrals to prepare them for school.

The Welcome Center is the single location for parents and guardians of K-12 students to:

  • Enroll students new and returning to the district
  • Apply for a transfer to attend a school or program other than the student's assigned attendance area school or resident district
  • Record a change of address

Dual Language Immersion Options

Beginning in kindergarten, families choose between a traditional English classroom or a Dual Language Immersion classroom in either Spanish or Chinese, giving your student the opportunity to learn a second language! These programs immerse children in a second language, allowing them to become bilingual at an early age. Learn more!
 

Early Childhood Screening
