    I am the school social worker at Discovery Community School and I am one of the school social workers at Kennedy Community School.

    About Me:
    I grew up and continue to live in Richmond, part of the ROCORI school district.  I graduated from ROCORI High School and went on to school at St. Cloud State University where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and a Master's degree in Special Studies with a focus on Human Relations.
     
    What does a school social worker do?
    I work, primarily, in the Special Education Department at Discovery and Kennedy.  I work with students to learn social, emotional and self-regulation skills that help support their learning.  I also work with students' families to gather information to help plan for their education. I can also help connect students and their families to resources in the community.
