Hello South families!
I am in my 3rd year of teaching PRIDE program at South. PRIDE is a program that identifies students who need a different style of instruction in our educational setting. Prior to teaching, I spent 8 years in social services working as direct support staff, counselor, in-home program director, and contracted caseworker for Ramsey, Otter Tail, and Clay counties. As for my educational history, I have a B.A. in Psychology from MSU Denver and an M.S. in Teaching from the College of Saint Scholastica.
Information and updates for parents/guardians detailing each course's announcements, events, lessons, handouts, and other materials can be found online through my Schoology course pages. Schoology is an electronic learning management system that ISD 742 has adopted to assist educators in managing their curriculum and coursework as part of the Inspire 1:1 technology initiative. Parents who would like access to this information need to attain a parent access code for each of their students, which is provided at the beginning of the school year or when students enroll. If you do not already have a parent access code, but would like to attain one, you may contact me via email or our Media Specialist.
The best way to contact me is via email at the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org - please allow 24 hours for a response.
I am also available by phone: (320) 370-7260 x7318
This is another great way to get in touch with me if you have an immediate concern.
