Securly FAQs
FAQs
Securly filters ISD 742 student devices using the same filtering categories outside of school that students have while they are in school.
Parents/Guardians will have access to review internet activity on a school-issued device while the student is not in school. In addition, parents/guardians have access to Flagged Activity, which includes signs of bullying, self-harm, and other concerning content.
St. Cloud Area School District DOES NOT actively monitor student internet searches or flagged activities via Securly. This is a service provided to families at no cost for district-issued devices, in order for parents/guardians to monitor their students’ activities and respond as they feel most appropriate. Again, the responsibility for monitoring flagged student activity lies with the parent/guardian.
