General Voting Information

To find out where to vote, visit MN Secretary of State's Polling Place Finder. Absentee Ballots and Voter Registration forms are available at the County Auditor's Office.

School Board Special Election

A special election will be held on November 4, 2025, to fill a board member seat for a three-year term that expires on January 8, 2029, that was vacated when a school board member resigned in January 2025. We have had three candidates file. They are:

Aug. 9, 2022 Primary Election School Board Candidates

Eight candidates have filed for three at-large school board seats. District 742 has opted into a primary election system which is required when the number of candidates is more than twice the number of open seats. The primary election will reduce the number of candidates to six, whose names will then be placed on the general election ballot on November 8, 2022. Voters can vote for up to three candidates on the primary election ballot. Contact Business Services at 320-370-8025 with questions.

Nov. 8, 2022 School Board Election - Candidacy Filing Period

The period for filing affidavits of candidacy for the office of school board member of St. Cloud Area School District 742 begins on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, and closes at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. If necessary, a Primary Election will be held on August 9. A Primary Election is necessary if there are more candidates that file than twice the number of open seats.
