Schools Overview
At St. Cloud Area School District 742, we're committed to supporting students from early childhood through high school with schools and programs designed to help every learner thrive.
Our district includes eight elementary schools, two junior high schools and two high schools. Most students follow one of two attendance pathways, with northside elementary schools progressing to North Junior High and Apollo High School, and southside elementary schools progressing to South Junior High and Tech High School.
Along the way, students and families have access to a variety of specialized programs and learning opportunities to meet their individual needs and interests.

North Junior High School

North serves students in grades 6-8 who live on the north and west sides of District 742 and hosts the district's middle level Chinese Immersion program. Located in north St. Cloud on a 25-acre campus, North is home of the Eagles.
Apollo High School

Apollo High School (AHS) serves students in grades 9-12 who live on the north and west sides of District 742 and hosts the district's Chinese and Spanish Immersion high school programs. Located on a 65-acre campus near the VA Medical Center and the Municipal Athletic Complex, AHS is home of the Eagles. Its name, borrowed from the U.S. space program, has long embodied a sense of mission.

Located in east St. Cloud, Lincoln is one of District 742’s smaller neighborhood schools and is home of the All Stars.
Oak Hill

Located on the southern edge of St. Cloud, Oak Hill is home of the Owls. Its name comes from the beautiful oak trees on the hill behind the school.
Talahi
Community School

Located on the southeast side of St. Cloud on a large wooded site, Talahi is home of the Timberwolves. Its name comes from the Ojibwa word meaning “Among the Oaks.”
South Junior High School

South serves students in grades 6-8 who live on the south and east sides of District 742 and hosts the district’s middle level Spanish Immersion program. Located near Roosevelt Road in south St. Cloud, South is home of the Tigers.
Tech High School

Tech High School (THS) serves students in grades 9-12 who live on the south and east sides of District 742 and hosts the district’s Spanish Immersion high school program. Located on a modern campus built in 2019, THS features flexible learning spaces, technology-enhanced classrooms, and state-of-the-art athletic and arts facilities. THS is home of the Tigers.
