Alternative Learning Programs
McKinley-ALC offers five unique day programs, night school, and a summer school program to address the needs of alternative learners in grades 9-12. At McKinley-ALC, students are actively engaged and committed to their education. The personalized offerings motivate students to regularly attend to and value their academic goals. Students explore career clusters through work experience, service-learning projects, job-shadowing and post-secondary education.
City Life 742 is a separate, public day school for St. Cloud School District students in grades 6-12+ with behavioral, emotional, and sometimes academic needs. City Life 742 offers social behavior instruction and intervention, as well as mental health related services, and is based on the fundamental belief that all students can learn and contribute to their community.
Riverwoods School, formally the St. Cloud Children's Home, is a residential- and day-treatment center owned and operated by Catholic Charities. District 742 has provided the school with educational programs for more than 30 years. A former orphanage, Riverwoods School is located on a wooded site along the west shore of the Mississippi River in south St. Cloud.
