District 742 students engage in the performing arts through the production of plays and musicals every year. Elementary students often experience residencies through the Minnesota Opera or children’s theater groups; moving into junior high students are able to produce their own dramatic work as well as perform a play or musical each year. Tech and Apollo High Schools both produce 2 or 3 major works a year, including a major musical every other year.
