  • InStep

    InStep is a transition program for St. Cloud Area School District 742 students ages 18 – 21 with moderate to severe disabilities that continue to be eligible to demonstrate eligibility for special education services based upon the needs identified in their Individualized Education Program (IEP) plan.  Students attending InStep are learning skills that allow them to access their greatest level of independence in the transition areas of independent living, employment, recreation leisure, and post secondary options.  InStep is housed at Katherine Johnson Education Center and students access job training and learning opportunities both on site and in the community depending on student ability and need.     Community Options 2

    The Community Options 2 (CO2) is a transition program for St. Cloud Area School District 742 students ages 18 – 21 with mild disabilities and continue to demonstrate eligibility for special education services based upon the needs identified in their Individualized Education Program (IEP) plan.   CO2 is a partnership between District 742 and the College of Education at St. Cloud State University (SCSU).   CO2 is housed at Stearns Hall, a residence hall on SCSU’s campus that offers an age-appropriate, community based, inclusive setting.  Students at CO2 participate in a half-day non-paid internship as well as learning opportunities in the areas of post-secondary education and training, jobs and job training, independent living, and recreation leisure.
