Foundations for Learning

  • “Advances in technology and personalized learning environments have created a historic opportunity to expand access and boost achievement and completion for learners across the globe.”

A focus of iNSPIRE is to provide students an opportunity to explore personalized learning to be successful now and tomorrow. Personalized learning allows students to access a wide range of options based on their needs. Access to technology expands the possibilities, allowing students to have available whatever resources needed, whenever they need them. It helps students move beyond "introductory" to "mastery".

To do this, teachers are encouraged to incorporate the Four Cs into their classrooms in ways that will help students be successful. The Four Cs include:

    • Communication
    • Collaboration
    • Critical Thinking
    • Creativity

When students are given the chance to engage in the above competencies, they will be better prepared for their future. As outlined by the World Economic Forum, District 742 students will need to be successful include a growing understanding of the Four Cs.
