Social Studies Curriculum Grades 9-12

  • The world is rapidly changing, connecting people, places, and ideas together in new ways. Students have the opportunity to explore these global connections through a variety of courses in social studies. Utilizing a variety of resources, technology, discussion, projects, and independent research, students will experience the diversity of ideas and concepts in history, economics, government, and geography that will will prepare and inspire their learning through high school and beyond.

    Students have 3.5 required credits in social studies for graduation. Courses include Human Geography, World History, US History, Government, and Economics. Students have additional options in Psychology, Sociology, Practical Law, and a wide variety of Advanced Placement options for social studies as well.
