About Mrs. Amundson: This is my first year at North Junior High and I am very excited to be here! I received my 5-12 Social Studies Licensure in December and sub taught in the Lester Prairie and Dassel-Cokato School Districts. Before that I was a Media Center Para in the Dassel-Cokato High School. I am married to my best friend, Dan, and we have four terrific children! I love to read, write, go for walks, play and coach softball, and travel. I have coached traveling fast-pitch softball for the last five summers and coached the Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity junior high softball team.
What a great first 3 weeks! The students in C4 have been learning about study skills (How do they study effectively?, What distracts them from studying?, & What is their ideal study space?), learning styles (tactile, auditory, and visual), and now we have started a unit on communities. The great C4 students are busy creating their community (urban, suburban, rural) in small groups! I can't wait to see their work when they are all finished!
In the upcoming weeks we will discuss colleges and compare careers.
Please ask your child what community they are creating with their teams! It is a fun activity!
