Jennifer Holm, Principal
Jenny Holm is honored to continue to serve the Discovery Community. She has served District 742 for 10 years. Prior to the principal position, she was assistant principal at Discovery for 3 years. She also has experience as a teacher, reading specialist and academic coach.
Ms. Holm earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin - River Falls in elementary education. She earned her K-12 reading license from St. Cloud State University. She also earned her master’s degree and principal license from St. Cloud State.
Ms. Holm feels Discovery Community School is a unique and incredible place to be. She is proud of the diverse and welcoming community at Discovery. She has enjoyed her time there getting to know the students and families. She is passionate about finding the strengths and potential in each student. She is focused on student success for every child.

Krysta Potter, Assistant Principal
Krysta Potter is excited to serve as the assistant principal at Discovery Community School! She has worked in District 742 since 2013 as an EL teacher, EL intake specialist and academic coach. Originally from North Dakota, Potter holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Human Development and Family Science with a master’s degree in English Learner Education from Valley City State University. She furthered her leadership skills by earning her K-12 administrator license from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
Potter brings a love of learning that is student-focused and believes school has a lasting impact on every student which drives her passion and commitment for growing a community of lifelong learners. She values relationships, connection and meaningful educational experiences. She is honored to be a part of the Discovery community!
In her free time, Potter enjoys cooking (and eating) great-tasting food, being active, playing volleyball and spending time with her family. She also loves traveling and experiencing different cultures.
