Jennifer Holm, Principal
Jenny Holm is honored to continue to serve the Discovery Community. She has served District 742 for 11 years. This is her second year as principal at Discovery. Prior to this, she was assistant principal at Discovery for 3 years. She also has past experience as a teacher, reading specialist, interventionist, and academic coach.
Ms. Holm earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin - River Falls in elementary education. She earned her K-12 reading license from St. Cloud State University. She also earned her master’s degree and principal license from St. Cloud State.
Ms. Holm feels Discovery Community School is a unique and incredible place to be. She is proud of the diverse and welcoming community at Discovery. She has enjoyed her time here getting to know the students and families. She is passionate about finding the strengths and potential in each student. She is focused on student success for every child.

Irene Wilcox, Assistant Principal
Irene Wilcox is grateful to serve the Discovery Community in her first year as assistant principal. She works daily to build relationships with students, staff and families. She is passionate about science based literacy instruction, fostering communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity, and developing social emotional skills so that all students can succeed and meet their goals.
Wilcox graduated from St. Cloud State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in science. She then attended the University of Montana Bozeman where she earned a master's degree in Science Education. Later, she earned a Gifted and Talented certificate and K-12 Principal Licensure through St. Mary’s University. This is her fifteenth year in education and she has loved every part of her journey as a middle school science teacher, gifted and talented coordinator, and academic coach.
Being a part of the 742 team is an honor for Ms. Wilcox. Her husband teaches at Kennedy Community School and her two daughters attend Tech High School. When not at school, she likes to be with her family, travel and spend time outdoors.
