Jason Harris, Principal

  • Jason Harris Welcome to the 2019-20 school year! We are excited that you are a part of the South Learning Community!

We hope this message finds you enjoying a restful and relaxing summer!  We are preparing for another exciting year of inquiry and learning.

Our mission is to create a safe and caring climate and culture in which we prepare, engage, educate, empower and inspire all learners in partnership with their surrounding community to be successful in today's and tomorrow's society.

As we go through the school year, our goal is to challenge your child academically, grow them socially and emotionally, guide them toward independent thinking and problem solving, and prepare them for college and career readiness.

Our South learning community is strengthened by our partnerships.  Active participation of staff, students, families, and community organizations are essential for our continued success.

Every week we will send home our “ROAR” newsletter with important announcements, dates and planned activities.  Look for opportunities to participate in family engagement activities, to volunteer and assist in student learning and enrichments, and to attend extra-curricular activities weekly.

We are looking forward to a great school year focused on a  Kind, Cooperative, Community that will prepare your child to be an engaged South student displaying “Tiger Pride!” in his or her continuing personal growth and learning achievements.
