Brian Nutter, Principal

  • Brian Nutter

This is Brian Nutter’s third year as principal of North Junior High. Prior to joining the staff of District 742, Mr. Nutter worked in Minneapolis Public Schools as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher, assistant principal, program coordinator and central office administrator. Brian’s strengths include a passion for equity and social justice, building positive schoolwide culture and community, and fostering educational environments students and teachers thrive in.

Nutter spends much of his free time with his wife and high school sweetheart, Jada, and their four children (ages 6, 8, 12 & 14). The Nutter family enjoys camping, traveling, and watching movies together. When he is not at North Junior High or at home with his family, there is a good chance Mr. Nutter is serving his community as a citizen Soldier in the Minnesota Army National Guard. He has completed 22 years of military service, including five overseas deployments to Germany, Iraq, Japan, Kosovo and Kuwait.

Mr. Nutter looks forward to working with the students, families, staff and community members of North Junior High to ensure every student receives the best educational experience possible.
