Hello! My name is Samantha Klatt and I am a 3rd grade teacher at Discovery! I am very excited to be teaching my first full year at Discovery. Last year, I also taught 3rd grade as a long call substitute in the same building.
I am a second career teacher, as I started in the business world first. I graduated with a marketing degree from Johnson & Wales University in Denver, CO and then began creating, implementing and evaluating marketing initiatives for different companies. After realizing that I truly was meant to work with children, I transitioned my career towards tutoring and teaching the English language to students overseas. I was an English Language Teacher for VIPKid for more than 4 years, even becoming the face of the company! I have recently completed my Master's in Teaching Elementary Education and am so fortunate to call ISD 742 and Discovery my home.
When I am not at school, I enjoy traveling, doing yoga, cooking, reading, gardening, playing card games, sleeping and spending time with my dog, French Fry.
